Health & Safety Management System

Safeguard your staff, reputation and business opportunities.

What is ISO 45001?

Managing health and safety doesn’t have to be complicated, costly or time-consuming. In fact it’s easier than you think. ISO 45001 is an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management. Certification to the standard demonstrates that the organisation has considered how they will identify, manage and control health and safety risks.

An increasing number of organisations are now looking at implementing ISO 45001 Certification as employers are under increasing pressure to ensure that a rigorous health and safety policy is in place which protects clients, staff and contractors against possible occupational risks, and reduces the likelihood of accidents in the workplace.

ISO 45001 certified will provide a host of benefits:

  • Demonstration of legal and regulatory compliance
  • Reduce risk to employees, customers, contractors and suppliers
  • Reduce risk of accidents, claims, costs and business interruptions
  • Improve staff morale, motivation and productivity
  • Enhanced status and competitive advantage
  • Improved risk management
  • Protect the wellbeing of employees

Why gain ISO 45001 Accreditation with CBO Associates?

We will work with you to design, document, implement and operate a simple Health and Safety management system that meets all the requirements of ISO 45001. We will design the system around your existing Health and Safety practices wherever possible, including the completion of risk assessments as necessary. We will help you to establish the necessary controls to ensure you are in compliance with relevant legislation, help you to identify the areas of your business which do not comply to the ISO 45001 standard, and redesign them with minimal disruption to your operation.

Once the system has been implemented, we will recommend you for the initial audit visit from a UKAS accredited external assessment body. We will then arrange for your system to be fully audited prior to the final ISO 45001 external assessment, which will usually take place within 3 months of the initial audit visit (depending on the external assessment body).

If you need more information about using a UKAS accredited external assessment body, then click here to visit the UKAS website to find out more.
